April Sees More Buyers and Sellers in Denver Metro Real Estate Market

DENVER – May 12, 2014 – More Denver Metro area homes hit the market in April, as buyers and sellers jump into the spring selling season.

April’s active real estate listings were up 6 percent over March, and the number of new listings on the market increased 15 percent month over month. The pace of home sales picked up as well, with the number of sold properties up 16 percent over March.

Denver Metro Real Estate Market Sees Early Start to Selling Season

DENVER – April 18, 2014 – Denver metro area real estate sales picked up significantly in March as buyers got a head start on the selling season.

Sales of residential properties were up 31 percent for March 2014, with an average price of $310,992, up 5% over February. Under contracts also showed strong gains rising by 34 percent, month over month.

Additionally, homes spent less time on the market in March, with the average listing lasting just 47 days, an 8 percent decrease from February.

Denver Metro Area Real Estate Market Set Records in 2013

DENVER – Jan. 8, 2014 – The Denver metro area real estate market saw all-time highs in 2013 for both home sales and average price, according to Metrolist®, Colorado’s largest multiple listing service (MLS), which powers REcolorado.com, a free resource for Colorado home buyers, sellers and owners.

As of Dec. 31, 2013, 54,024 residential homes had sold in the Denver metro area, a 17 percent increase over 2012, and the average sales price was $306,910, an increase of 10 percent, year over year.

Denver Metro Area Home Prices Continue to Rise In Winter Months
